Toyota faces barrage of lawsuits
5 Legal attacks against Toyota are escalating, as some 15 law firms are seeking $1 billion in damages on behalf of a nationwide class of consumers. The firms plan to file an additional three dozen suits in at least 25 states.Toyota announced in late January that it would stop selling several models because of sticking accelerator pedals. The company has recalled 2.3 million vehicles with that problem.
